In recent years, Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) has taken many active measures to reduce power loss, improve the reliability of power supply, contribute to increasing business efficiency and ensure stable power supply for people in the province.

In order to prevent grid overload, contribute to reducing power loss and improving power supply reliability, PC Quang Tri focuses on investing in upgrading and renovating the grid with the goal of minimizing power loss during transmission and distribution.
Carry out replacement and installation of electrical equipment such as transformers, conductors and modern protection and control devices. These devices not only help improve power transmission efficiency but also minimize technical problems that cause power outages and power losses.
In 2024, the company will invest more than 167 billion VND from construction and major repair investment capital to build and repair 97 power grid projects to serve production. To date, investment projects have disbursed 125 billion VND and the company aims to have 100% of construction projects completed on schedule and ensuring quality by the end of 2024.
Some of the completed projects include the project to increase the power supply capacity of Hoa Tho Trieu Phong Garment Factory in Ai Tu Industrial Park, with a capacity of 400kVA; and the project to increase the power supply capacity of Huong Hoa Cassava Starch Factory with a capacity of 1,600kVA.
Currently, the unit is implementing a number of specialized load power supply projects including: upgrading the power supply capacity of the Cua Viet market fish wharf service logistics area of Dai Doan Thang Company Limited with a capacity of 400kVA and power supply to the Ha Long high-tech tunnel brick factory in Hai Chanh Industrial Park with a capacity of 2,500kVA.
In addition to upgrading infrastructure, PC Quang Tri also focuses on improving the quality of power grid management and operation. Strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people and businesses to raise awareness of the responsibility to protect the safety of power grid corridors and measures to prevent electrical accidents.
Focus on disseminating decrees and regulations on protecting the safety corridor of high voltage power grids. Maintain regular inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment to eliminate and minimize incidents caused by equipment.
Strengthen inspection, supervision and handling of violations in electricity use, closely coordinate with competent authorities to inspect, detect and strictly handle acts of electricity theft and improper use of electricity.
The company also focuses on training and capacity building for its staff. In-depth training programs on electrical engineering, grid management and new technology applications are regularly organized to ensure that staff have sufficient knowledge and skills to operate the power system safely and effectively.
The above efforts have brought positive results, reflected in the company's continuously decreasing power loss rate over the past years. In the first 8 months of 2024, the power loss rate according to commercial electricity was 2.83%, down 0.60% over the same period and 0.35% lower than the annual plan.
It is estimated that in 2024, the power loss will reach 3.18%, equal to the target assigned by EVNCPC. This is a remarkable achievement, contributing significantly to improving business efficiency and ensuring stable and continuous power supply for people and businesses in the province.
In the coming time, PC Quang Tri will continue to deploy synchronous measures to reduce power loss, including investing in upgrading the power grid, applying new technology, and strengthening management and supervision to ensure safe, stable and efficient power supply for electricity customers.
