Reuters news agency on November 27 quoted an announcement from Mr. Trump's spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt saying that the threats were made on the evening of November 26 and the morning of November 27 and law enforcement quickly acted to ensure the safety of those targeted.
However, Ms. Leavitt did not disclose the specific identities of those threatened nor details about the nature of these threats.
The attacks range from bomb threats to false crime reports to prompting a heavy armed police response at someone's home, according to Ms. Leavitt.
The development comes months after Mr Trump suffered an ear injury in a failed assassination attempt in Pennsylvania in July.
In another incident in September, a man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly lying in wait with a rifle outside one of Mr Trump's golf courses in Florida.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI) issued a statement saying they were "aware of multiple bomb threats and attacks targeting nominees and appointees in the new administration" of Mr. Trump, and were investigating.
On the White House side, spokeswoman Saloni Sharma said they are in contact with law enforcement and Mr. Trump's transition team, and have reported the incident to President Joe Biden.
