The information was announced by Hanoi FC on its homepage on the afternoon of September 16. The team officially said goodbye to coach Makoto Teguramori after just over half a year of working together. The board of directors has completed the contract termination procedure and thanked Mr. Makoto Teguramori for his contributions over the past time.
Coach Makoto came to lead Hanoi FC from February this year, the second leg of V-League 2024 - 2025, helping the team win the runner-up position. However, at the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 season, the Japanese strategist could not help the team avoid poor results.
After the first 3 rounds of V-League, Hanoi only has 1 point, with a series of draws and losses against Cong An TP.HCM, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Cong An Ha Noi, thereby only standing at the bottom of the rankings.
The 0-1 loss to The Cong - Viettel on September 14, which caused Hanoi to stop at the qualifying round of the 2025 - 2026 National Cup, became the last straw that caused Mr. Makoto to lose his job.
After firing Mr. Makoto, Hanoi FC chose Mr. Yusuke Adachi as interim coach. Previously, Mr. Yusuke Adachi took on the role of Technical Director at the capital team since June this year.
Mr. Yusuke Adachi, born in 1961, is a Japanese expert, highly regarded for his expertise, has a lot of coaching experience, understands Vietnamese football, and used to work at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Hanoi Club under the leadership of interim coach Adachi will play The Cong - Viettel again in round 4 of V-League 2025 - 2026 taking place on September 20 at Hang Day Stadium.
