During the wedding ceremony in the church, the Pakistani husband opened his wallet and took out a wad of money to give to his Vietnamese bride. However, the wife's subsequent actions made the groom and guests burst into laughter.
Husband gives a stack of money, wife only takes 1 bill
After her marriage broke down, Ms. Tran Thuy Trang (38 years old, from Lao Cai ) decided to take her son to live in Japan.
Ms. Trang said that being away from her family and a single mother, she had to face many difficulties. However, she accepted the challenge, giving her child the opportunity to live a full life, close to her paternal family.
Vietnamese wife marries Pakistani husband after 1 month of dating
Although her first husband was Japanese, Trang's Japanese was not good, only at the basic communication level. In Japan, she had to work and improve her foreign language skills.
At first, she took her child to kindergarten and then went to work. On days off from school, she let her child go to work with her.
When her life abroad was stable, Trang tried to open up and find a boyfriend through a dating app. By chance, she became friends and started chatting with a Pakistani guy named Tallal Ahmed (37 years old) who was working in Japan.
“At first, we talked and asked each other very normally. However, he was exactly my type and vice versa, I was also his type. So, after a week of chatting online, we had our first date,” Trang said.
On the first date, Ms. Trang brought her son to meet Mr. Tallal. Knowing that his girlfriend had a child, he did not change his attitude, happily chatting and caring for the boy.
Although he has never been married, Mr. Tallal knows how to love and take care of Ms. Trang's son.
The kindness of the Pakistani man reassured the single mother and she agreed to "share a meal" after only 1 month of dating.
Trang and Tallal are both old and living far away from home. Therefore, they did not return to Vietnam and Pakistan to get married. They only held a simplewedding ceremony at a mosque in Tokyo, Japan.
Tallal celebrated Tet in Vietnam for the first time.
“At the end of the wedding ceremony in the church, Mr. Tallal opened his wallet and inside was a thick wad of money. He told me to take the wad of money but I only took out a 1 Man note (about 1.6 million VND).
When I took out a bill, my husband and the guests all smiled. I was surprised and waited until the ceremony ended to ask my husband.
Tallal said it was a gift from him, as part of the ceremony. I could take as many as I wanted, even all of them.
So, the fact that I withdrew a bill surprised him and everyone else. Until now, my husband and I still keep that bill as a souvenir,” Trang said.
Surprised by husband's family background
After 4 years of “contributing rice to cook together”, Trang and her husband took their 1-year-old daughter to visit her husband’s family. The first time she came to Pakistan, she was very nervous, worried that her husband’s family would not like her.
Although they have been married for a long time, Trang and her husband have not had the opportunity to meet her husband's parents. Besides being busy with their business, they have many disagreements and worries that they cannot be together for long.
At the wedding ceremony in Pakistan, Trang was given a lot of expensive jewelry by her husband's family.
Only when their daughter was born, did their relationship become more intimate. Trang and her husband found common ground, put their egos aside, and built a family. That was the right time for the two to introduce their partner to their relatives.
Ms. Trang recalls: “The first time I came to my husband’s house, I was amazed by the sparkling scene before my eyes. His family lived in a villa of thousands of square meters. Notably, the villa was a place where many generations lived together. My husband’s family members welcomed me very enthusiastically and friendly.”
Couple's lavish wedding in Pakistan
Although the couple had held their wedding ceremony in Japan, the husband's family was still quietly preparing for the wedding in Pakistan.
The wedding was held for 3 days, with thousands of guests attending. It was the most lavish wedding that Trang had ever witnessed.
Trang's small family, no distinction between biological and stepchildren
Ms. Trang said that during the 3 wedding days, she wore 3 dresses and 3 different sets of gold jewelry.
Every day, the wedding party organized fireworks, bustling dancing throughout the area.
Returning to Japan after the lavish wedding, Trang and her husband threw themselves into work and making a living like any other family.
She always told herself that her husband's family was rich, but she and her husband were not. Now, she was satisfied that she and her husband had a house, stable jobs, and well-behaved children.
In 10 years of marriage, Trang and her Pakistani husband have experienced many ups and downs, both joy and sadness. She even filed a lawsuit several times after arguments that could not find a common voice.
Trang's husband and children love Vietnam very much.
Luckily, the two people still love each other, accept to sit down and fix the things they have not done well.
Currently, Trang and her husband send their youngest daughter back to Vietnam to study, while their eldest son continues to live in Japan. The couple does not mind the hardship, traveling between Vietnam and Japan to take care of their children.
In their spare time, Trang's family travels together, visits grandparents and strengthens family ties.
