Regarding the management and investment of irrigation in the province, there are still some difficulties and problems such as: There are 6 irrigation works in the planning that overlap with the planned area of Bauxite minerals, causing difficulties for investment and construction consulting; the drainage system for large urban areas has not been focused on in the planning process; the management and operation of some irrigation works is facing difficulties, especially in handling violations of the protection of irrigation works...
Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review projects related to bauxite and remove them from the planning. Regarding irrigation projects in border communes, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will work with localities to resolve the issue of site clearance for investment in irrigation projects.
The provincial leaders requested to review the list of new investment projects as well as upgrade and repair projects, to determine which projects are urgent and prioritized for investment, and which projects should be left for later. At the same time, it is necessary to evaluate and review the needs of localities for investment in rural clean water projects to have plans to attract investment as well as arrange the budget.
