(DN) - On September 25, comrades: Ton Ngoc Hanh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Nai province; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) chaired the Workshop on Comments on Adjusting the Planning of Dong Nai Province (new) for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Attending the workshop were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha and leaders of departments, branches and experts and scientists .

This is a workshop organized by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in coordination with UEH in the form of direct and online connection to 95 points of communes and wards across the province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized: In the new context, adjusting the planning of Dong Nai province is not only a legal requirement, but also an inevitable need to reposition and create the future for Dong Nai province.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Dong Nai is not only a province in the Southeast region, but also a strategic gateway to the entire Southern region. Dong Nai is currently one of the localities with the largest area and population in the country; the economic scale ranks 4th in the country, expected to reach more than 690 trillion VND by 2025. Dong Nai has a synchronous transport infrastructure system, with all 5 modes of transport: road, air, rail, inland waterway and sea. In particular, with 10 expressways being invested and deployed with a total length of more than 393km, equivalent to 7.6% of the total length of the national expressway network, Dong Nai is gradually affirming its position as an important connection center, opening up many opportunities for breakthrough development in the future.
