Northern Power Corporation checks response to storm No. 5 in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh

On August 24, in response to the complicated developments of storm No. 5 (Kajiki), a working delegation of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) led by Deputy General Director Vu Anh Phuong directly inspected the response at Thanh Hoa Power Company, Nghe An Power Company and Ha Tinh Power Company.

Through the inspection, the delegation noted that the units have proactively deployed storm prevention plans according to the "4 on-site" motto, consolidating the power grid, reinforcing vulnerable points, arranging 24/7 on-duty forces and fully preparing materials and equipment to promptly handle arising situations.

In particular, units have developed plans to ensure safe and continuous power supply for important loads such as hospitals, disaster prevention command agencies, drainage pumping stations, communications and essential infrastructure.

On the same day, EVNNPC issued Official Dispatch No. 4219/CD-EVNNPC, requesting member units to urgently implement the direction of the Government , Vietnam Electricity Group and the Corporation; reinforce key points, arrange 24/7 operation, coordinate with localities to clear the route corridor, propagate electrical safety and promptly report developments, damages, and repair progress according to regulations.

EVNNPC said it is mobilizing maximum forces, closely following the scene, proactively developing response plans to minimize damage and restore power supply to customers as quickly as possible after the storm./.
