An Giang Provincial Police destroyed more than 1,500 support tools and primitive weapons.

On June 22, An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with Western Steel Joint Stock Company to destroy more than 1,500 support tools and rudimentary weapons of various types that had been received, collected, and recovered in the area.

On behalf of the Provincial Police Department, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dang Tan Dac, Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Provincial Police), Vice Chairman of the destruction council chaired.

In recent times, implementing the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools, the Provincial Police have deployed a general inspection plan, launched a peak campaign to mobilize the entire population to hand over and fight against crimes and violations of the law on weapons, explosives and supporting tools. The work of propagating the law has been promoted with rich content and forms, thereby bringing positive results and receiving enthusiastic support from the masses.

The destruction took place on the premises of the Western Steel Joint Stock Company. Before the destruction, the authorities checked the quantity and informed the workers directly involved in the destruction about the regulations.

Number of support tools and primitive weapons destroyed

After inspection and classification, 1,580 primitive weapons and support tools, including: guns, electric spark flashlights, metal gun barrels, knives, machetes, spears, lances, electric shockers, batons of all kinds, handcuffs... and 8,362 grams of iron and lead bullets were destroyed according to the correct procedure, by using industrial crushing machines and metal cutters to cut them into small pieces to eliminate the features and effects of the support tools and primitive weapons; at the same time ensuring safety, limiting the impact on the environment and following the correct regulations.
