On September 5, 2025, in a confused state of mind, Ms. Trinh Thi Mien (born in 1970, residing in Boi Tuong village, Cam Giang commune, Hai Phong city) went to Hop Tien commune police to report a mistaken transfer. Specifically: on August 13, 2025, Ms. Mien visited an acquaintance in Hop Tien commune. Due to her anxiety when her son urgently needed money, Ms. Mien accidentally transferred 200 million VND to the account of a stranger. After discovering the incident, Ms. Mien contacted the bank but did not receive a clear response because she could not contact the account owner who received the mistaken transfer.

Upon receiving the information, Hop Tien Commune Police quickly took action, urgently verified, and coordinated with the bank to track down the recipient. Through investigation, the police force identified the recipient. The commune police conducted propaganda, mobilized and persuaded this person to voluntarily return the entire amount of money he had mistakenly received. Ms. Trinh Thi Mien received her 200 million VND back intact.

Touched by this timely action, Ms. Mien wrote a letter of thanks to the officers and soldiers of Hop Tien Commune Police. Ms. Mien shared: “The above amount of money is a huge asset to my family. I did not think I would receive the money back in such a short time.”
