Announcing the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on naming roads and streets in Yen Dinh district

On the morning of January 29, in Yen Lam town, the People's Committee of Yen Dinh district held a ceremony to announce Resolution No. 481/NQ-HDND dated December 14, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on naming streets for 4 towns, including: Quan Lao, Thong Nhat, Quy Loc and Yen Lam. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL).

In recent years, towns in Yen Dinh district have had strong development steps, the infrastructure system has been invested in more and more completely, the inner-city roads are more and more spacious with many newly built houses, especially the important main traffic routes, contributing to promoting socio -economic development.

However, new roads and streets have not been scientifically named, leading to many difficulties in administrative declaration, transactions, and finding people's addresses.

Comrade Do Quang Trong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council.

At the ceremony, comrade Do Quang Trong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, announced Resolution No. 481/NQ-HDND dated December 14, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council at the 17th session, 18th term on naming roads and streets in the towns, including: Quan Lao, Thong Nhat, Quy Loc and Yen Lam. According to the Resolution, 115 roads and streets in the 4 town units were named, including 26 roads and 89 streets. The names of the roads and streets are the names of famous people who have made many contributions to the construction and development of the country, Thanh Hoa province in general, and Yen Dinh district in particular, and are in the province's name bank.

The placement and installation of street and road name signs must be scientific, consistent with local practical conditions, comply with approved regulations and planning, and ensure democracy and publicity.

The naming of streets and roads in the four town units of the district shows respect for the nation's heroic past associated with the country's famous people; raises awareness of preserving and promoting traditional historical values, building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.

Delegates from Yen Dinh province and district and towns performed the ceremony of attaching street nameplates in Yen Lam town.

At the ceremony, delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and installed street name signs on Hai Ba Trung Street, adjacent to Dinh Cong Trang Street, Yen Lam Town.

Immediately after the district's announcement ceremony, Quy Loc town organized the announcement and installation of street name signs on Ngo Quyen street adjacent to Le Duan street.
