Implementing Plan No. 142/KH-UBND dated May 27, 2025 of the People's Committee of Lang Son province on the deployment of Electronic Medical Records in the province, the Department of Health issued Plan No. 100/KH-SYT dated June 2, 2025 on the deployment of Electronic Medical Records in public hospitals (4 provincial hospitals and 10 regional medical centers) closely following the progress and plan of the province. At the same time, the units have also developed detailed plans, urgently reviewed and upgraded information technology infrastructure, selected appropriate electronic medical record software suppliers; deployed digital signature and electronic authentication; trained and coached medical staff; operated, evaluated and registered for posting on the Ministry of Health's Electronic Information Portal in accordance with the process.
With the efforts and determination of the entire industry, up to now, Lang Son province has completed the implementation of Electronic Medical Records at 100% of public hospitals in the province, achieving the time schedule compared to the set target (before September 30, 2025) as directed by the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen The Toan, Director of the Department of Health, emphasized: The deployment of Electronic Medical Records at hospitals and regional medical centers in the area is an important milestone in the process of digital transformation of the province's health care, towards building a modern, transparent, effective, patient-centered health care system. Deploying Electronic Medical Records also brings many practical benefits such as: improving the quality of health care by storing patient information accurately and quickly; saving time and management costs; enhancing data connectivity between medical facilities with the Health Insurance Assessment Portal and the National information systems. At the same time, ensuring information security, network security and personal data confidentiality according to regulations.
In the coming time, to maintain and promote the effectiveness of Electronic Medical Records, the Director of the Department of Health requested that units proactively coordinate with related units to effectively operate the system, use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software to store, share, exploit data and gradually completely replace paper medical records; ensure funding, quality of information technology infrastructure, interconnection, network security. In addition, units need to continue to pay attention to training for medical staff and employees on operating procedures and network security to ensure the exploitation and use of EMR according to regulations. Promote communication and propaganda of the benefits of Electronic Medical Records to the people, contributing to improving the quality of medical services and taking better care of people's health.
