The Department of Inspection, Complaints and Denunciations Settlement, Region I summarizes work in 2024

The report on the results of the implementation of tasks in 2024 of Department I shows that the State management work for the assigned area has been paid attention to, proactively following the area, regularly urging and coordinating with the People's Committees of provinces and cities, Inspectorates of provinces and cities to direct and handle promptly, contributing to stabilizing social order and safety in localities in the region, limiting citizens from filing complaints in large numbers, going beyond the level to the Central Citizen Reception Office, especially for complicated and long-standing complaints and denunciations according to Plan No. 363/KH-TTCP, No. 1910/KH-TTCP of the Government Inspectorate .

In 2024, Department I was assigned and conducted 08 inspections, of which: 05 were transferred in 2023 and 03 were planned according to the approved plan in 2024. Up to now, 02 have issued conclusions and publicly announced the inspection conclusions; 01 has drafted a report to the Prime Minister ; 02 have reported results and are developing a draft inspection conclusion;..

The Department has inspected and verified 12 cases assigned by the Prime Minister. The Department has promptly advised the Government Inspectorate leaders to establish 05 working groups to conduct inspections and verifications. The results of 12/12 cases have been reported and the Prime Minister has issued a document directing localities to implement the recommendations of the Government Inspectorate.

During the period, Department I coordinated with the Central Citizen Reception Committee to prepare content and documents and sent Department leaders and local civil servants to participate in the regular citizen reception meetings of the Government Inspectorate leaders and to urge the work of citizen reception and complaint settlement in Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai provinces.

Evaluation of the performance results of Department I shows that the direction and management of the Department's leaders always closely follows and seriously implements the directions of the Government Inspectorate Party Committee and the Government Inspector General to complete inspections according to plan; the assignment of responsibilities of the Department's leaders is clear, ensuring timeliness, initiative and coordination with the work.

State management work is focused on, proactive in grasping the situation, handling complicated cases, cases that attract public opinion and the press; especially proactive coordination with the Inspectorate of the provinces and cities in charge is increasingly closely linked; together with localities, discussing solutions to resolve many complicated cases; at the same time, providing guidance and exchanging professional experiences; strengthening relationships and coordination in assigned areas of work.

Regularly pay attention to building internal solidarity, promoting collective strength to create consensus and high unity in the direction, management and operation of the unit, promoting the role of individuals in performing assigned tasks. Pay attention to creating conditions for the Trade Union to operate in accordance with the organization's principles and purposes.

The organization and direction of inspections and working groups strictly complied with legal regulations on inspection, handling of complaints and denunciations; the inspection teams and working groups were deployed according to the schedule, content, and timetable approved by the Government Inspector General.

Regarding complaints and denunciations, the assigned unit promptly advised on settlement to ensure results, in accordance with the law, and to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the State and citizens.

In addition, Department I also pointed out some limitations, that is, although the state management work for the area under its management has had many positive changes, the results have not yet met the requirements. The implementation of the monthly and quarterly information and reporting regime of the Department's Departments is sometimes not complete and timely.

Reporting inspection results and draft conclusions is still taking a long time, the work of submitting archived documents by some inspection teams is still slow; the work of summarizing and drawing experience after inspections is not done regularly.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by Department I in 2024. The Deputy Inspector General of the Government affirmed that Department I is one of the typical units in resolving inspections, always taking the lead in implementing new regulations, ensuring progress and completing inspections ahead of schedule. At the same time, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy also highly appreciated the role of Department I in receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations, and affirmed that this outstanding result demonstrates the sense of responsibility and initiative of the collective of officers and civil servants of Department I in closely following the locality, grasping the situation, and promptly advising the Government Inspectorate's leaders.

Regarding the direction and tasks in the coming time, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy noted that Department I needs to strengthen the work of grasping the situation, closely following the locality, especially in the context of the 2025 Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress. The Deputy Inspector General emphasized that the more firmly grasping the situation from the grassroots, the more proactive it will be in advising the leaders, while trying to handle and minimize actions that affect local officials.
