Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has 2 more senior leaders

(NLDO) - The General Department of Taxation has issued a decision to appoint two more Deputy Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

On November 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation Mai Son chaired the conference to announce Decision No. 1826/QD-TCT and Decision No. 1828/QD-TCT appointing Mr. Phan Van Dung, Head of Thu Duc City Tax Branch (Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department), and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Head of Tax Declaration - Accounting Department (Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department), to hold the position of Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

According to Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation Mai Son, during their work, Mr. Phan Van Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong were always assessed by all levels and sectors to have the capacity to lead, manage, and effectively implement work, always dedicated, enthusiastic, responsible, with the spirit of learning and self-study to serve professional work; always completing assigned tasks well.

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department was assigned by the National Assembly and the Ministry of Finance a budget of more than VND 351,000 billion, of which revenue from domestic taxes and fees was nearly VND 334,000 billion. In the first 10 months of the year, the domestic budget revenue in the area was quite good and collected more than VND 318,000 billion, equal to 90.6% of the year's estimate.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department is managing the largest number of taxpayers in the country with over 350,000 enterprises, more than 250,000 business households; over 11.6 million personal income tax codes and nearly 2 million households paying non- agricultural land use tax.

"Therefore, to strengthen the leadership and management capacity, helping the Tax Department to successfully complete its assigned tasks, in addition to the current Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Mr. Nguyen Nam Binh, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Taxation have agreed to simultaneously add two more Deputy Directors to complete the number of five Deputy Directors for the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, including Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Thai Minh Giao, Giang Van Hien, Phan Van Dung, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong," added Deputy Director of the General Department of Taxation Mai Son.
