Over the years, Thanh Hoa province has always paid attention to and focused on implementing family work.

1. Family is all the “assets”, the support, the greatest motivation and the greatest pride in every person’s life. No matter how harsh the world is out there, how cruel people are, as long as we have a happy family, know how to love, share and take care of each other, we will know how to face and overcome all storms.

That is the story of Le Thi Tham, a girl with a congenital disability in her hands and suffering from many other diseases, but still constantly strives to rise up. One of the most important things that always motivates and becomes a solid support for the will and determination of this young girl is the boundless love of her family, the sympathy and sharing of her teachers, friends...

There was a time when family life was difficult and struggling, the mother spent almost all of her time taking care of her, working in the fields, and raising livestock; Tham's father worked as a laborer, doing whatever he was hired to do, so his income was unstable. But in order for her to not suffer, to have a better life, the family always accompanied Tham in every step of her life. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh, Tham's mother, boldly borrowed money to buy more breeding animals and animal feed. There were times when Ms. Tinh borrowed money from the Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization to cover her education, buy equipment, learning and teaching materials for Tham such as laptops, projectors, printers, etc. Wishing her child to wholeheartedly pursue her passion, the family never gave up, never stopped making efforts and trying. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh shared: "The greatest happiness of the family is being able to overcome difficulties and raise the children to adulthood."

Sharing the same situation as teacher Le Thi Tham, Nguyen Tat Minh (the boy in the touching story of being carried to school by his friend for 10 years) was born with an unfortunate birth defect in his legs and right arm.

Many people who followed the story were moved by the beautiful friendship of two boys Hieu and Minh. Pitying his friend who was born with many disadvantages, for more than 10 years, every day, Hieu carried his friend to school, to class. And besides that wonderful friendship, on every step of Minh's journey, there is always the boundless love of his parents and family as a motivation.

From the very beginning, Minh's parents did not give up and surrender to fate. They shared the hardships of treating their son even though they knew the chances were slim. They were also the first to carry their son to school, determined to let him pursue knowledge and seek the best for his future. During Minh's time studying at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Tat May (father of Nguyen Tat Minh) was the one who took care of his every meal and sleep. With the school's support, the father and son lived together in a dormitory room. Living with Minh's father and son in that room was a very special case, that was student Duc Quan who suffered from brittle bone disease but still tried hard to study and was admitted to the Mathematics - Information Technology department at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Like Minh, Quan always needed relatives to help and take care of him in all his activities. Originally strangers, from different hometowns, it was love, the will to live, and the will to succeed that brought them together, binding them together in a special "home".

To this day, Tham has become a beloved teacher of her students; Nguyen Tat Minh has graduated from university with honors. They and their families are role models, inspiring stories about the value of love, sharing, and the will and determination to live and overcome adversity.

2. The story of Le Thi Tham, Nguyen Tat Minh or any of us all comes to a common message: Family is everything (Michael J. Fox). For that reason, family work has always been of interest to our Party and State, through the promulgation of many policies and laws related to family. On December 30, 2021, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2238/QD-TTg approving the "Vietnam Family Development Strategy to 2030". The strategy clearly states: Family is the cell of society; the place to maintain the race; an important environment for forming, nurturing, educating human personality and preserving and transmitting the cultural values of the nation; is the foundation for building a happy society in the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration. Building a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family is both the goal and the driving force for sustainable development; is the responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society.

Pursuant to Decision No. 2238/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, in March 2022, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a plan to implement the Provincial Family Development Strategy to 2030. The general goal of the strategy is to "build a prosperous, progressive, happy family, which is the nucleus and healthy cell of society, the home of each person; a place to nurture and cultivate personality and lifestyle that respects the good traditional ethics of the nation; promote and replicate good values, promote sustainable development of the country".

To achieve these goals, Thanh Hoa province has been synchronously implementing solutions: raising awareness, promoting propaganda and education on family values in the new situation; building a civilized and happy family environment, creating conditions for all members to enjoy the fruits of development; improving the capacity of state management on family; effectively promoting investment resources, mobilizing socialization, developing the family sector...

Since then, family work in Thanh Hoa province has achieved remarkable results. Leadership and direction have been consistent and consistent from the provincial to grassroots levels. Member agencies of the family work steering committee at all levels, departments, branches, unions and socio-political organizations have coordinated in the process of implementing family work activities. In 2024, many programs and activities related to family work were organized enthusiastically, attracting the active attention of authorities at all levels, attracting the participation and response of many families across the province such as: activities to celebrate International Day of Happiness (March 20), Vietnamese Family Day (June 28); launching ceremony of the National Action Month on preventing and combating domestic violence; photo contest with the theme "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation"; contest "We write about family" for high school students...

The work of preventing and combating domestic violence has had positive changes. Family models continue to be deployed and replicated throughout the province and become useful places for families; propaganda activities, education on ethics, lifestyles, and good behavior in the family have been promoted with many forms attracting the attention and participation of families; women's movements: "5 no 3 clean" movement, women "Good at public work, good at housework", building a prosperous, progressive, happy family... have had positive changes. The movements of studiousness and good economic families have become the driving force to create a good lifestyle in each family and community, contributing to preventing domestic violence in the community; social evils entering the family are limited; traditional cultural values are preserved and promoted...

Building and maintaining a happy family is, after all, the greatest career and achievement in every person's life. Building a happy family is the foundation for building a happy society.
