From the 2025-2026 school year, the school will implement 10 training programs entirely in English, with the goal of providing society with high-quality human resources: good at expertise, proficient in foreign languages, and able to adapt to a multicultural working environment.
According to Dr. Than Thanh Son - Head of Training Department, this is a strategic step to affirm the prestige and position of HaUI in the Vietnamese higher education system, while opening up opportunities for comprehensive development for students.
Foreign language support roadmap – not letting students “ get left behind”
In reality, not all students have a solid English foundation when entering the university. Understanding this, HaUI has designed supplementary courses and pathways from the very beginning. Students participate in English enhancement classes, gradually becoming familiar with teaching methods and learning materials entirely in a foreign language.
This approach helps reduce initial pressure, while creating fairness in access to knowledge, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to develop comprehensively. As Dr. Than Thanh Son emphasized: “No student is left behind just because of language barriers.” This is what makes HaUI different in its international training strategy.
Faculty and international business cooperation

The teaching staff is considered a key factor in determining the quality of the program. HaUI has implemented a policy to attract foreign experts and scientists to teach and co-teach with domestic lecturers. This combination brings a double advantage: Vietnamese lecturers understand the context and needs of students, while international lecturers bring advanced teaching methods and updated knowledge from developed educational systems.
In parallel, HaUI has also built a network of connections with more than 200 strategic partner enterprises, including many multinational corporations. Thanks to that, students can participate in internships and research in a modern business environment, access advanced technology and work according to international standards. This is not only an opportunity to experience a career, but also helps students become more confident when entering the global labor market.
Rich scholarship policy, encouraging talent

In order to encourage and accompany students, HaUI has built a diverse scholarship system:
First: Entrance scholarships for students enrolling in English-taught programs:
* Level 1: 100% tuition scholarship for the entire course (About 185 million VND/scholarship)
- Expected number: 10 seats.
- Scholarship subjects and criteria: Candidates enrolling in the English-taught training program of Hanoi University of Industry in 2025 who are valedictorians of each English-taught training program.
* Level 2: 75% scholarship for full course tuition (About 138.5 million VND/scholarship)
- Expected number: 20 seats.
- Scholarship subjects and criteria: Candidates enrolling in the English-taught training program of Hanoi University of Industry in 2025 with the 2nd and 3rd highest scores of each English-taught training program.
* Level 3: 50% tuition scholarship for the entire course (About 92.5 million VND/scholarship)
- Expected number: 30 seats.
- Scholarship subjects and criteria: Candidates enrolling in the English-taught training program of Hanoi University of Industry in 2025 with high scores ranked 4, 5, 6 of each English-taught training program.
Second: Scholarships to encourage learning
For full-time university students with high academic and training results during the semester (excluding students who have received HaUI entrance scholarships).
Third: Nguyen Thanh Binh Scholarship
For full-time university students with difficult circumstances who meet the requirements for academic and training results but are not eligible for the state's tuition exemption or reduction policy.
Fourth: Corporate sponsored scholarships: For students who meet the sponsor's criteria and requirements.
These policies not only help reduce financial burdens but are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, encouraging students to make greater efforts in their studies and research.
Strategy for internationalization of education and expansion of fields of study
English-taught training programs are considered a pillar in HaUI’s education internationalization strategy. According to Dr. Than Thanh Son, this is a direct solution to the “bottleneck” of the labor market: the shortage of high-quality human resources who are both good at professional skills and good at foreign languages.
In 2025, HaUI will enroll 400 students for 10 English-taught training programs in the following majors: Accounting, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering Technology, Tourism, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, Restaurant and Food Service Management.
In the future, the school plans to expand its STEM, Tourism, Business and Management majors – fields that are in high demand for human resources both domestically and internationally. This is also the direction to make HaUI one of the pioneering institutions in educational innovation, meeting the requirements of the global economy.
With a variety of English-taught training programs, the support of lecturers and businesses, and a scholarship system to encourage talent, Hanoi University of Industry is providing a new generation of students with comprehensive integration skills - to confidently assert themselves on the international human resources map.
