Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the structure of the 2025 thinking assessment test

(Dan Tri) - This morning (January 15), Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the structure of the 2025 thinking assessment test.

Accordingly, the total time of the exam includes 150 minutes for 3 exam contents: Mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes) and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes) with the exam format being completely multiple choice on computer.

The test will be held in several sessions throughout the year, and candidates will be granted a certificate of test results that can be used for admission to universities across the country. The structure and content of the thinking assessment test will remain stable for many years to come.

According to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, to comply with the new general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training and ensure the rights of students, from 2023, the school has adjusted the content and format of the thinking assessment test in a concise direction, eliminating thinking according to subject combinations.

The goal of the thinking assessment test is to assess three basic thinking abilities of students, including: Mathematical thinking, reading comprehension thinking and scientific thinking/problem solving - important factors that help students learn best in a higher education environment.

The thinking assessment test is organized in a streamlined and effective manner, applying advanced testing technologies, approaching modern thinking assessment tests in the world, such as SAT, ACT...

The structure of the thinking assessment test is as follows:

In 2025, the University of Science and Technology will organize 3 rounds of thinking assessment exams through the form of objective multiple-choice tests on computers.

Specifically:

Round 1: Exam date January 18-19; Registration date December 1-6, 2024

Phase 2: Exam date 8-9/3; Registration date 1-6/2/2025

Phase 3: Exam date April 26-27; Registration date April 1-6, 2025

Exam locations: 13 provinces/cities including Hanoi, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang.

To date, more than 50 higher education institutions have used it for admission. The majors can use the results of the thinking assessment test for university admission.

These schools belong to the fields of science, technology, economics, foreign trade, finance, banking, medicine, pharmacy; industry, agriculture, etc.
