The 3rd Congress of the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association: Creating new momentum for the era of sustainable development

On September 28 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association solemnly held the 3rd National Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress was attended by nearly 200 delegates who are typical businessmen from corporations, enterprises, and organizations under the Association across the country, along with leaders of State management agencies, Chairmen of Associations, and many distinguished guests.

The Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association was established in July 2013 as a professional social organization of private entrepreneurs, with the mission of gathering and uniting members, protecting legitimate rights, supporting effective operations, and contributing to the country's economic development. Over the past decade, the Association has affirmed its role as a bridge between entrepreneurs and the Party and the State, reflecting the aspirations of the business community, participating in consulting and advising on mechanisms, policies, administrative reforms, creating an open and transparent business environment, while contributing to enhancing the position of entrepreneurs in social life.

This Congress focuses on summarizing and evaluating the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 2nd Congress, reviewing the leadership and direction of the 2nd Central Executive Committee of the Association, determining the direction, goals and tasks for the 3rd term, and electing the Executive Committee and the Central Inspection Committee of the Association, including exemplary, courageous and intelligent businessmen to lead the organization to stronger development in the new period. With the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Development - Sustainability - Prosperity", the Congress sets out important directions to arouse the spirit of creativity and dedication of the business community, preparing for major development steps, towards important milestones such as the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party in 2030 and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country in 2045.

Regarding the orientation for the 2025-2030 term, the Congress agreed to focus on building a team of capable and dedicated leaders of the Association, accompanying private entrepreneurs in the era of national development; continuing to improve the organization and operation to become a reliable bridge between private entrepreneurs and the Party and the State; strengthening solidarity, promoting the representative role, protecting the legitimate rights of entrepreneurs; promoting support for training, consulting, market connection, trade promotion; actively participating in consulting and giving policy suggestions to improve the business environment, promoting private economic development. With new momentum and great aspirations, the 3rd Congress of the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association became an important milestone, affirming the determination to build a team of Vietnamese entrepreneurs who are united, brave, and creative, contributing to bringing the country forward strongly in the era of sustainable development.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Trong Dieu, emphasized that this is an opportunity for the business community to thoroughly grasp the new situation and tasks, identify both advantages and difficulties, and intertwined challenges, and at the same time, to better understand the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and State on national development and the private economy in the new era of development. At the same time, affirming the recognition and high appreciation of the Party, State and people for the business community is not only a belief but also an expectation, entrusting the mission for Vietnamese business people to uphold the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, aspiration to contribute and innovate, contributing with the political system to develop the country into a strong, prosperous, rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang acknowledged that the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association has affirmed its position as a typical professional social organization, becoming a common home for the private business community, and at the same time organizing many important activities such as the Private Economic Forum, policy dialogue with Party and State leaders, contributing to perfecting the private economic development policy. The Association has become a common home for the private business community, contributing to affirming the increasingly strong position of the private economic sector as an important driving force of the country's economy. At the same time, the Association has expanded its membership network, organized training, coaching, trade promotion, investment connection, actively participated in giving comments on draft laws, expanded international cooperation, connecting domestic businessmen with overseas businessmen. However, besides the achieved results, the Association's activities still have limitations such as the weak connection between members, some member organizations have not promoted their effectiveness, communication work is sometimes not close to the mission and the number of members is still modest compared to the potential of the private economic sector.

Orienting the new term, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs emphasized that the Association needs to focus on a number of major directions. First of all, it is necessary to continue to build a strong organization, truly becoming a support, a "common home" of solidarity and cohesion for the private business community. The Association needs to expand and improve the quality of its members, creating close connections between large, medium and small enterprises, both domestically and overseas. At the same time, the Association must promote training, fostering management capacity, supporting members in digital transformation, improving competitiveness and international integration. In particular, the Association needs to promote its role as a channel for criticism and policy advice for the Party, State and Government, contributing to perfecting the socialist-oriented market economic institution and improving the investment and business environment. Another important task is to link economic development with social responsibility, promote the spirit of Vietnamese entrepreneurs for sustainable development, link growth with environmental protection, and do a good job of social security and poverty reduction.

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs also noted that the Association must comply with the law, charter and operating regulations, ensuring transparency, publicity and efficiency in all activities. At the same time, he believes that, with solidarity and determination to innovate, the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association will continue to promote its role and make important contributions to the development of the business community as well as the construction and development of the country in the new period.
