The Festival was attended by 56 businesses with a need to recruit 3,127 workers, of which 28 businesses needed to recruit more than 500 disabled people. The Festival also had nearly 500 disabled workers looking for jobs.

According to Ms. Pham Nguyen Ngoc Ngan, Deputy Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force, ensuring employment and an equal working environment for people with disabilities is not only a responsibility, but also a goal and driving force for sustainable development, political and social stability, demonstrating the humane and good nature of the Party and State with the motto "no one is left behind".
“Through the Job Fair, we hope to contribute to raising social awareness of vulnerable labor groups. People with disabilities are not only a priority group, but also need to be recognized as a potential labor force, playing an active role in contributing to building society,” Ms. Ngoc Ngan shared.
Through the process of training and supplying disabled workers to many large enterprises in and outside the city, Mr. Nguyen Van Cu, Deputy Director of the Center for Disability and Development (DRD), said that many enterprises that have recruited disabled workers highly appreciate the efficiency, productivity and working attitude of this force. "When having suitable jobs, many disabled people work no less than, or even better than, non-disabled workers...", Mr. Cu affirmed.
Present at the Fair very early to learn about businesses and job positions, Mr. Phan Van Duc (blind) hopes to find a suitable job. At the fair, he could not hide his joy because he found a job at Nam Thai Binh Duong Seafood Company Limited, in the business field, with flexible working hours, not having to go to the headquarters to help limit travel.
At the festival, participating businesses presented more than 500 gifts to workers and students with disabilities studying at the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Vocational Training and Employment.
