Pleiku Ward Party Committee met with 92 grassroots cadres

(GLO)- On the morning of September 10, Pleiku Ward Party Committee held a meeting with 92 grassroots cadres who are Party cell secretaries, heads of residential groups, and heads of the Front work committees of residential groups and villages in the area.

Pleiku Ward was established on the basis of merging 5 units: Hoa Lu, Tay Son, Hoi Thuong, Phu Dong and Tra Da. Currently, the Ward Party Committee has 75 grassroots Party organizations with more than 3,200 Party members.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee informed about the socio -economic development, national defense and security situation after 2 months of operating the 2-level local government model.

Accordingly, the total state budget revenue according to decentralization reached 141.38 billion VND (174.6% of the plan); the Public Administration Service Center received 7,682 records, resolved 7,063 records (reaching 92%); the rate of people participating in health insurance reached 90.84%. Social security work was given attention with 559 social protection records received, 524 records resolved. The fields of security, order, health, and primary health care for the people were ensured.

In the Party building work, the ward has admitted 4 new Party members, awarded Party badges to 53 Party members, issued and renewed cards to nearly 3,000 comrades (reaching 95%) and completed a number of Party cell committees. Urban beautification activities and maintenance of key routes are regularly deployed.

The conference recorded 17 opinions from the grassroots on administrative reform, subsidy regime, urban beautification, environmental sanitation, socio-economic development, infrastructure maintenance, ensuring security and order and taking care of people's health... The opinions were all realistic, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and dedication of the grassroots cadres.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuoc - Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council praised the efforts and contributions of the grassroots cadres. The Party Committee Secretary of Pleiku Ward emphasized: Each cadre needs to continue to promote the sense of responsibility, be close to the people, listen to the people, promptly resolve arising issues; maintain national solidarity, promote community strength. The grassroots cadres must be a reliable bridge between the Party, the government and the people, contributing to building Pleiku Ward into a model and key ward of the province in the coming time.
