Training human resources in technology according to international standards in Vietnam

From 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) will launch the International Bachelor of Engineering Joint Program, providing opportunities to study full-time in Vietnam and reach out to the world with a degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia.

Study in Vietnam, receive Australian standard degree

From the 2025-2026 academic year, the University of Science and Technology will cooperate with UTS to train the first generation of students of the International Bachelor of Engineering Joint Program.

The program is taught 100% in English following the on-site study abroad model (3+0). Students study entirely at the University of Science and Technology, taught by both UTS lecturers and University of Science and Technology lecturers . Graduates receive a Bachelor's degree awarded by UTS , which is widely recognized globally.

This is not only a turning point for the University of Science and Technology in its efforts to exchange and cooperate with leading educational institutions, but also brings practical value, opening the door to new, high-quality, international-standard learning for Vietnamese students who love the field of technology.

Based on the strong professional foundation of two leading universities, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology (IT) - the fields that play a pivotal role in Industry 4.0 - are the first two majors selected for training.

The content of the AI ​​major includes knowledge about developing intelligent systems that can learn, reason, and make decisions like humans, and applications in research on self-driving cars, robots, chatbots, big data analysis, precision medicine, smart finance, etc. Graduates will contribute to research and development of AI products in specific fields (robotics, finance, medicine , etc.) .

The IT industry is suitable for candidates who love technology and computers, have the ability to solve problems through algorithms, have self-study skills and are fluent in foreign languages. Graduates are ready to conquer the international labor market in positions such as network administrator, software engineer, system administrator, IT support specialist, security engineer, helping to stabilize and essential for information technology infrastructure in all organizations and businesses...

• English entry standard: IELTS (Academic) ≥ 6.5 (Writing skill ≥ 6.0) or equivalent.
• Admission by comprehensive method, according to the following subjects:

- DT6: Candidates who graduated from Vietnamese high school, with an average score of the entire 12th grade year ≥ 8.0

- DT7: Candidates who have graduated from international programs recognized by UTS and meet the minimum requirements.

- DT8: Candidates with SAT test results ≥ 1120.

• Application deadline: before 5:00 p.m. July 11, 2025 (for DT8 only: before 5:00 p.m. July 9, 2025)
• Tuition: 255,000,000 VND/school year.
