(Dan Tri) - Due to heavy rain, rocks and soil from behind Rang Chuoi school collapsed, collapsing a wall and flooding into classrooms, damaging many desks, chairs and school supplies of students.
On the evening of November 24, a representative of the People's Committee of Tra Tap commune (Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam ) said that in the afternoon of the same day, a landslide occurred at Rang Chuoi school (in village 1, Tra Tap commune).
Due to heavy rain, rocks and soil from behind Rang Chuoi school collapsed, causing a wall to collapse and flood into the classroom, damaging many desks, chairs, and school supplies of the students.
Fortunately, when the landslide occurred, there were no teachers or students at the school so there were no casualties.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Tra Thi Thu, in charge of the school, said that the previous rain caused the hill behind the school to have a landslide.
The government has relocated students and teachers to the old school, about a 15-minute walk from the new school, to wait for the construction of a solid embankment for the new school.
However, the landslide is getting bigger and bigger, rocks and soil continuously slide down, making the recovery difficult. Up to now, a huge amount of rocks and soil have slid down, collapsing part of the wall of this school.

Rang Chuoi School was inaugurated in September with a total construction cost of more than 1.4 billion VND, sponsored by benefactors. The project has a total area of about 200m2, solid walls, 2 classrooms, 1 dormitory, kitchen, restroom, playground, fence...
Ms. Tra Thi Thu said the new school has 34 preschool and elementary school students and was put into use to replace the temporary school that had been degraded.
Due to landslides, local authorities moved some necessary equipment from the school and brought students back to study at the old school.
