Mass organizations in Loc Ha ( Ha Tinh ) have promoted their roles and responsibilities in mobilizing union members to participate in building new rural areas.

Members of the Women's Union of Tan Loc commune participate in destroying mixed gardens to build new rural areas.

In recent days, women in most villages in Loc Ha have regularly participated in labor, cleaning the environment, arranging household gardens, beautifying the guild hall... Although it is a daily task, this occasion has received high concentration from women, upgrading it to a competitive movement to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20).

Ms. Phan Thi Thu - Vice President of the Women's Union of Loc Ha district said: "In the journey of building the new rural area, Loc Ha women have participated wholeheartedly, responsibly and effectively to carry out many practical tasks. In particular, from 2011 to now, the union at all levels has mobilized tens of thousands of working days to renovate nearly 18,000 household gardens, build 60 model gardens, relocate about 2,200 sanitation works, build 150 bright - green - clean - beautiful self-managed roads, build 100 charity houses, build 900 waste treatment pits, plant more than 26,000 fruit trees and shade trees, and nurture 230,000 trees...".

Loc Ha Youth Union members volunteer to support disadvantaged communes in building new rural areas.

Responding to the movement "Youth join hands to build new rural areas", the Youth Union is always present in many meaningful activities and spreading models such as: "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Back to the base day"...; in which, the most prominent are in Thach Chau, Mai Phu, Hong Loc, Phu Luu. Throughout the journey of building new rural areas in the area, the Youth Union at all levels has organized about 300 volunteer campaigns to support localities.

Mr. Dang Thai Son - Secretary of Loc Ha District Youth Union said: "The mark of youth is shown throughout the works and tasks during the 13 years the district has built the new rural area. Up to now, the youth union members have mobilized funds and working days to build 75 youth electric lines to light up the countryside, decorated 15 mural roads, coordinated to install more than 4,000 new rural planning markers, upgraded 170 km of rural roads, dredged 90 km of intra-field canals, planted 90 km of green fences with 64,000 trees of all kinds, collected thousands of tons of waste of all kinds and ensured that 14 km of coastline is always clean...".

Union members of Hong Loc commune go to the village to work on the weekend.

Similarly, organizations such as the farmers' association, veterans' association, trade unions, and the elderly association in Loc Ha have also regularly and persistently mobilized union members to actively accompany the government and people of all walks of life in building the new rural area.

The active participation of mass organizations has helped Loc Ha have 100% of communes meeting NTM standards before 2019, the district has completed 9/9 criteria (waiting for the Central Government to recognize the district as meeting the standards), has 2 communes meeting advanced standards, formed 371 model gardens, 42 model residential areas, built 13 3-star OCOP products, eliminated 2,230 temporary houses and built 4,417 standard houses...

Members of the Farmers' Association of Ich Hau commune demolished gates, fences, and outbuildings... to open roads and "upgrade" the new rural criteria.

Mr. Phan Ba ​​Ninh - an officer of the Office of New Rural Areas in Loc Ha district informed: "The role of mass organizations at all levels in the construction of new rural areas in Loc Ha is very important. From 2011 to now, mass organizations have mobilized union members, association members, and people to contribute nearly 461 billion VND (accounting for 18.4% of the total cost of building new rural areas); of which, cash is nearly 85 billion VND, donated land is converted to nearly 66 billion VND, mobilized tens of thousands of working days is converted to more than 92 billion VND, other assets are worth 124 billion VND, mobilized children far from home is 94 billion VND... Those activities have created resources and great influence to build the current picture of new rural areas".
