This morning, June 4, all candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam at the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences - VNU completed the conditional Literature exam.

According to the plan, at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (June 4), all candidates will take the Math exam (round 1) for 120 minutes. Tomorrow, candidates will take the specialized exam for 150 minutes.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences (VNU) will enroll 450 students in grade 10 of the specialized system (including Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology classes; each specialized block has 90 students) and 90 students in high-quality classes.
Dr. Le Cong Loi, Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, said that in 2023, the school received 2,975 applications for the 10th grade entrance exam, of which the largest number were candidates for the IT major.
Specifically, with 894 applications registered for the exam, while the quota is 90, the competition ratio of the IT specialized block is up to 1/9.9. Ranked second is the Math specialized block with 630 applications registered for the exam, the competition ratio is 1/7. The Biology specialized block has the lowest competition ratio of 1/3.5.

Admission objects of High School for Natural Sciences in 2023 are candidates nationwide.
The exam conditions are that candidates must have good conduct and academic performance for the entire school year of junior high school classes and good graduation grade.
Each candidate can register for a maximum of two out of five majors: Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
All candidates must take two general exams: Literature and Mathematics (round 1). Candidates take the specialized exams corresponding to their registered major, except for Mathematics (round 2) for candidates applying for the Mathematics and Information Technology majors.
Candidates registering for 2 majors will have to take 2 major exams (not overlapping exam times). The exam format is multiple choice combined with essay for Literature, essay for Math (round 1) and other majors.
