On the morning of August 18, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) announced the admission scores for regular universities using the 2024 high school graduation exam results.

Accordingly, the benchmark scores for admission blocks range from 22 to 28.88 points, a slight increase compared to 2023.

In which, the average admission score for block C00 has increased by 2-3 points compared to the 2023 admission score as predicted. In particular, the religious studies major increased by 5 points (block C00 admission score in 2023 is 21 points, in 2024 is 26 points).

In 2024, the top benchmark scores are completely dominated by the C00 admission combination, specifically journalism is the major with the highest admission score with 28.8 points, followed by tourism and travel services management with 28.33 points, cultural studies with 28.2 points, art studies with 28.15 points and history with 28.1 points.

Besides, the number of majors with a standard score of 27 or higher is 22, accounting for 16.17% of the total.

The 3 new majors enrolling in 2024 also have relatively high standard scores, specifically: art major 26.75 - 28.15 points, international studies major 25.75 - 27 points, Korean business and commerce major 24 - 26.96 points.

Admission scores for the 2+2 international joint program range from 21 to 25.5 points, specifically:

3 majors: Communication major specializing in journalism - joint with Deakin University (Australia); International Relations major - joint with Deakin University (Australia); English language major - joint with the University of Minnesota Crookston (USA) with a benchmark score of 21 points.

The Chinese language major - joint venture with Guangxi Normal University (China) has a benchmark score of 25.5 points.
