Provincial leadership delegation congratulates on the occasion of Christmas 2023

On the afternoon of December 21, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, led by Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and congratulated the Bishop's House of Phat Diem Diocese and the Catholic Solidarity Committee of the province on the occasion of Christmas 2023.

Accompanying were comrades: Bui Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dang Trong Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Nguyen Cao Son, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of the province and Kim Son district.

At the Bishop's Palace of Phat Diem Diocese, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan presented a beautiful flower basket and sent best wishes to the Bishop, priests, monks, and Catholics in the whole province on the occasion of Christmas 2023.

The Provincial Party Secretary was pleased to announce an overview of the implementation of the province's socio -economic development tasks in 2023. Despite many difficulties and challenges, with focused, key, flexible, synchronous and drastic solutions, the province's socio-economic situation continues to achieve many positive and comprehensive results. The general goals set out have been basically achieved, 12/15 main targets have been completed and exceeded, of which 10 targets have been exceeded.

GRDP growth rate is quite good, estimated at 7.27%. Agricultural production has developed stably, new rural construction has achieved positive results; trade and tourism activities have developed, especially the tourism sector, creating momentum and leverage to promote the development of other economic sectors. Culture and society have made much progress, social security is guaranteed, people's lives continue to improve.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that these important results had the active contributions of religious organizations in the province, including dignitaries, priests, monks and parishioners.

He hoped that with their affection, responsibility and role, the dignitaries, officials, monks and Catholic followers of the province would continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements in the locality, take better care of the spiritual life of the parishioners; propagate and encourage the parishioners to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

With sincere gratitude for the affection and attention of the Party committees, authorities and leaders of Ninh Binh province for the Bishop's House and parishioners in the past time, Bishop Kieu Cong Tung of Phat Diem Diocese expressed his joy at the successes and development of the province in 2023, and affirmed that in the coming time, he will continue to mobilize parishioners to always respect God, love the country, live a good life, be religious, actively participate in emulation movements, strengthen solidarity between religions and non-religious people, join hands to build the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: In 2023, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee has done a good job of mobilizing Catholics in the province to actively participate in local patriotic emulation movements, especially propagating and encouraging Catholics to comply with the provisions of the law, actively work in production, and develop the socio-economy; contributing to strengthening the building and consolidation of the great national unity bloc, implementing the direction of the Church being attached to and accompanying the nation.

In the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, maintain its role as a bridge, a center for gathering, uniting, mobilizing, and guiding Catholics to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, compete in labor production, develop the economy, build prosperous and happy families, and build Ninh Binh homeland to be increasingly renewed and developed.

Mr. Tran Van Nghiep, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee, thanked the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and provincial leaders for their affection and attention to the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee in the past time. At the same time, he affirmed that the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee will organize and carry out patriotic emulation movements among Catholics well, join hands and contribute to socio-economic development, unite to build the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
