Over the past 2 years, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has directed departments, branches, units and localities to promptly, seriously and effectively implement policies and laws on domestic violence prevention; pay attention to training knowledge and skills on domestic violence prevention for grassroots cadres. Diversify forms of propaganda and legal education on family work and domestic violence prevention, focusing on innovating the content and organization of propaganda activities in many rich and diverse forms, thereby contributing to raising social awareness of the position and role of the family, the significance of domestic violence prevention, helping family members gain knowledge and life skills, proactively prevent the penetration of social evils into the family; practice a civilized lifestyle in the family and the community.

Departments, branches, localities and units also organize many consulting activities to support and guide people on legal regulations as well as skills to prevent and combat domestic violence such as: The Provincial Women's Union has organized and maintained support for the activities of 31 pilot models such as: "safety for women and children", "parents' groups, prevention of domestic violence", "food safety for women and children"... launched 131 trusted addresses at the grassroots level; The Department of Justice maintains 1,647 mediation teams with 10,666 mediators to mediate, prevent and handle marital conflicts, issues related to marriage and family and issues of conflicts and discord in the family...
Lang Son province proposed that the Government soon issue a document to replace and supplement Decree No. 02/2013/ND-CP dated January 3, 2013 of the Government regulating family work ; consider and amend the spending level for domestic violence prevention and control at the commune level as prescribed in Decree No. 76/2023/ND-CP dated November 1, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control to ensure consistency with two-level local authorities; propose that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism soon develop a unified software to guide the management of the database on domestic violence prevention and control, and the Ministry of Finance issue a document guiding the management and use of state budget funds for domestic violence prevention and control...
At the working session, members of the National Assembly and Lang Son province's survey delegation discussed and clarified further contents related to the implementation of policies and laws on preventing and combating domestic violence.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society suggested that Lang Son province continue to pay attention to promoting propaganda work; review and consolidate the staff working in family affairs at all levels, especially at the commune level; thereby training and improving the qualifications and professional skills of this staff. Strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of policies and laws on domestic violence prevention at the grassroots level; focus on prevention work to prevent conflicts from the beginning; pay attention to allocating adequate funding sources to implement the work of preventing and combating domestic violence.
For recommendations and proposals from the province, the delegation will synthesize and submit them to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
