Policy dialogue, removing obstacles in developing collective economy and cooperatives

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of July 10, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance held a conference to review the results of inspection and supervision of cooperative activities according to the 2023 Law on Cooperatives and discuss policies for collective economic development and cooperatives.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Tax Department of Thanh Hoa province and many delegates representing cooperatives in the province.

By the end of June 2025, the whole province had 1,373 cooperatives; of which, there were 870 agricultural cooperatives, 131 industrial cooperatives, 133 commercial service cooperatives, 19 construction cooperatives, 25 transport cooperatives, 67 People's Credit Funds, 28 environmental cooperatives and 43 other cooperatives. The capacity of many cooperatives was enhanced, joint ventures and associations between cooperatives in many forms and promoted efficiency.

However, the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the province face some difficulties in implementing tax policies, facilities, technology, capital... Many cooperatives in the area have not received timely information on support policies, nor have a clear understanding of support policies for the collective economic sector and cooperatives.

At the conference, representatives of cooperatives requested the province and relevant departments and branches to pay attention to removing difficulties related to land, tax codes, policies on land lease, taxes, loans for production development, product consumption, etc.

Representatives of the Provincial Cooperative Union, Department of Agriculture and Environment, and Tax Department of Thanh Hoa province answered and clarified the opinions of delegates at the conference.

For matters beyond its authority, the Provincial Cooperative Union continues to grasp them to advise and make recommendations to the Central Ministries, branches, the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial departments and branches to promptly resolve them, thereby supporting the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the province to develop sustainably.
