On the morning of October 2, comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended the Kate Festival 2024 with Cham people following Brahmanism at Po Inư Nưgar Temple, Huu Duc Village, Phuoc Huu Commune (Ninh Phuoc). Accompanying him were comrade Chamaléa Thi Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Department of Home Affairs.

According to custom, every year on the 1st day of the 7th month of the Cham calendar, the Cham people following Brahmanism celebrate the Kate Festival. According to legend, Po Inư Nưgar is the first Mother Goddess of the Cham people. The Kate Festival, in addition to maintaining all cultural elements of traditional value, shows respect and gratitude to the gods, grandparents, and ancestors who created, protected, and sheltered their descendants to be healthy, have a peaceful, prosperous, and happy life; the community's aspiration is always to pray for favorable weather and bountiful harvests. In addition, the Kate Festival is also associated with the cultural and religious values ​​of the Cham community, which is why it has attracted a large number of people and tourists from inside and outside the province to participate. At the ceremony, Cham people present at Po Inư Nưgar temple enjoyed artistic performances imbued with the cultural identity of the Cham people. Following the worship ritual at Po Inư Nưgar temple, Cham people following Brahmanism in Huu Duc officially opened the Kate festival.

The Kate Festival is part of the national cultural heritage, the contribution of the Cham people and Cham culture to the unified and diverse Vietnamese culture. He hopes that dignitaries and officials will continue to propagate and encourage people to preserve and promote the unique values ​​of the Kate Festival as well as other traditional festivals of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province. Create opportunities for Cham culture to be promoted to friends and tourists near and far. At the same time, he requested that all levels, sectors, and localities continue to take practical and specific actions to accompany and preserve the Cham cultural heritage, preserve and develop the Kate Festival in the coming time; Raise the scale of organizing propaganda activities, contributing to bringing the traditional festival of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province to match the scale and value of a national intangible cultural heritage.
