This is a project of 220kV Ba Thien Transformer Station and 220kV Viet Tri - Tam Duong - Ba Thien line.
Previously, on June 26, 2025, EVNNPT Deputy General Director - Hoang Van Tuyen, Chairman of the Investor-level Acceptance Council chaired the meeting of the acceptance council. The members of the acceptance council agreed to energize the project.
The 220kV Ba Thien transformer station is invested by EVNNPT, NPMB is the project management unit, Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3) is the design consultant; Power Transmission Company 1 takes over operation after completion.
220kV Ba Thien transformer station is built in Trung My commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province.
The project has a scale of new construction of 220/110/22kV Ba Thien substation including 2 transformers 220/110/22 kV - 250 MVA; this phase installs a transformer 220/110/22 kV - 250 MVA (AT4).
The 220kV side has 12 bays; this phase installs equipment for 7 bays; the 110kV side has 20 bays; this phase installs equipment for 11 bays. The control, protection, measurement, communication and SCADA systems are equipped in accordance with EVN and EVNNPT regulations, and comply with current standards and regulations.
After completion, the project will contribute to ensuring electricity supply for the loads of Binh Xuyen district in particular and Vinh Phuc province in general; meeting the needs of economic and social development of Vinh Phuc province and neighboring areas; reducing the load on 220kV transformers and existing 220kV and 110kV lines in the area; contributing to releasing the capacity of hydropower plants in the Northwest region; improving the reliability and safety of electricity supply to the regional grid.
The energization of the project is a practical action of EVNNPT and NPMB towards celebrating the 17th anniversary of EVNNPT's establishment (July 1, 2008 - July 1, 2025), towards welcoming the 4th EVN Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held in July 2025.
