Driving force for North Chu Lai Industrial Park

With the goal of completing energization in the third quarter of 2026, the 110kV Truong Hai Transformer Station and connection project is expected to activate many utilities, both improving the reliability of power supply and promoting production and business, contributing to attracting investment in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the 110kV Truong Hai Transformer Station Project and connection has just taken place at Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park (Nui Thanh Commune), simultaneously with key works and projects nationwide.

This is a key project invested by the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) with a total capital of more than 101 billion VND. The project includes the construction of a 2x63MVA transformer station (phase 1 will install a 110/22kV-63MVA transformer), a 0.03km long 110kV two-circuit line and five 5.3km long 22kV feeders.

The project is expected to be completed and energized in the third quarter of 2026, meeting the growing electricity demand of the region.

According to Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Chi Cuong, the city is developing strongly, affirming its position as the leading economic , cultural and tourist center of the Central region and the whole country. In particular, the Central Power Corporation and Da Nang Power Company have ensured stable power supply, maintaining energy security for the city.

“In the context of administrative unit mergers, the electricity sector needs to take the lead in building modern infrastructure to meet the requirements of sustainable development. The 110kV Truong Hai Transformer Station and Connection Project, which commenced construction this time, is of great significance, ensuring power supply for the North Chu Lai Industrial Park and Nui Thanh Commune. The project will contribute to attracting investment, promoting production and business and creating momentum for regional economic development,” said Mr. Tran Chi Cuong.

Mr. Trinh Trung Phuong, member of EVNCPC Board of Directors, said the project will meet the rapidly increasing electricity demand in Nui Thanh commune, especially for large enterprises in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park.

“The project ensures a stable power source, improves the reliability of power supply, reduces power loss and provides backup support between 110kV transformer stations in the area. To ensure progress, EVNCPC, the Central Power Grid Project Management Board and Da Nang Electricity Company have closely coordinated with local authorities, overcoming many difficulties in investment procedures and site clearance.

The project not only has economic significance but also political and social value, practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 50th anniversary of the Corporation's establishment," Mr. Trinh Trung Phuong shared.

The leaders of Da Nang city pledged to continue supporting the project to complete on schedule, ensuring quality and safety. With the determination of all parties, the 110kV Truong Hai transformer station and connection promise to contribute to the construction of a modern power system, serving socio-economic development, improving the lives of people in Nui Thanh commune in particular, contributing to the development of the city in general.
