Dong Nai cancels land reclamation notice for 1,200 billion inter-port road project

Because the route of the inter-port road has changed and the project has not yet implemented compensation and resettlement support according to the decision from 2010, Dong Nai decided to cancel the old land recovery notice.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just announced the cancellation of the land recovery notice dated August 2, 2010 of the Provincial People's Committee on land recovery for survey, measurement, and investment project establishment of inter-port road in Phuoc Khanh, Phu Dong, Phu Huu, Dai Phuoc communes, Nhon Trach district.

Nhon Trach is a locality with strong port development, so recently it has been investing in strong connecting traffic infrastructure.

The reason for the cancellation is because the project has not yet implemented compensation, support and resettlement work, and also because the project route has changed compared to the original.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee assigned Nhon Trach District People's Committee to direct the public announcement of the cancellation of the project land recovery notice of the Provincial People's Committee for people of the above communes to know.

At the same time, the People's Committees of communes were also directed to hold meetings to disseminate and post notices of land acquisition cancellation at the commune People's Committee headquarters and residential areas within the project area.

Regarding the Nhon Trach district inter-port road project, in June 2024, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a decision approving the feasibility study report on the implementation of the compensation, support, resettlement and site clearance project phase 1.

Of which, the total investment for the project of compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for the Nhon Trach district inter-port road phase 1 is nearly 1,200 billion VND. The implementation period is from 2024 to 2026.

Nhon Trach District Inter-Port Road Project Phase 1 is a Group A project, with a length of more than 8.9km, divided into 2 sections: Section 1, about 6.94km long, has the starting point at Ong Mai canal, Phu Dong commune, the end point intersects with Ly Thai To street, Phu Huu commune.

Section 1 has a road cross-section width of 61m; Section 2 is about 1.97km long, starting at the intersection with Ly Thai To Street, ending at the Viet Thuan Thanh port intersection. Section 2 has a road cross-section width of 45m.

To implement the first phase of the project, Nhon Trach district will have to reclaim nearly 52 hectares of land. Regarding resettlement, the project will have about 251 households to resettle.
