On the afternoon of September 25, at a press conference on the socio -economic situation of Ho Chi Minh City, in response to a question from a reporter from the Finance - Investment Newspaper about the operating term of the Coca-Cola Project, the Department of Finance said that this Project will expire on September 27, 2025.
Specifically, the Coca-Cola Vietnam Beverage Company Limited Project operates under Investment Registration Certificate No. 2130712106, issued by the Department of Planning and Investment (now the Department of Finance) with a project operation period of 30 years from September 27, 1995.
Therefore, the project will expire on September 27, 2025.

The Department of Finance further informed that, according to the provisions of Point c, Clause 1, Article 48 of the Investment Law 2020, investors must carry out procedures to terminate the investment project when the project's operating period expires on September 27, 2025.
However, according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 35 of Decree No. 102/2024/ND-CP of the Government , after completing the procedures to terminate the investment project, the investor is allowed to continue using the land for another 24 months from the date the investment project is terminated to liquidate the project, handle land use rights as well as assets on the land according to the provisions of law.
In February 2025, Coca-Cola Vietnam Beverage Company Limited sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee pledging not to carry out production activities at the Project from September 27, 2025.
This means that investors are not allowed to carry out any production or business activities at the factory as committed.
It is known that Coca-Cola's project in Ho Chi Minh City has a total investment capital of 715 million USD (equivalent to about 13,000 billion VND).
To prepare for the relocation of the factory in Ho Chi Minh City, in October 2022, Coca-Cola Vietnam started construction of a beverage factory in Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, Tay Ninh province (formerly Long An ), with an area of 19 hectares and a total investment of 136 million USD.
The factory was inaugurated in mid-July 2025.
