National mobile propaganda contest with the theme " Ho Chi Minh Trail - The legendary road.
The contest took place at 31 venues to widely propagate the nation's historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions; to honor and pay tribute to the great contributions of Truong Son soldiers, frontline workers, youth volunteers, transport workers, artists, and ethnic people who participated in combat service and performed duties on Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail.
On May 19, 1959, the Central Military Commission's Standing Committee officially assigned the task to the "Special Military Task Force" (Group 559) to open the Truong Son road to support the revolution in the South.
During the years of heroic fighting, Truong Son troops created a great position and stature in the cause of fighting against the US to save the country, liberating the South and unifying the country of our people. "Truong Son Road - Ho Chi Minh Road" is a great historical creation of our Party and Army.
Truong Son is the place where human will has triumphed over all the brutality of war, all the difficulties and obstacles of the harsh nature of the Truong Son mountain range - the place that demonstrates the victory of the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence, freedom and national unification.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province, presented flowers to the units participating in the contest held in Quang Binh.
The competition was held in Quang Binh province with the participation of 12 teams from the Central and Southern provinces.
