VHO - The 2nd Lai Chau Provincial Athletics Tournament for Youth and Children in 2025, organized by the Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the participation of nearly 170 athletes from 12 units in Lai Chau province.

The 2nd Lai Chau Provincial Athletics Championship for Youth and Children in 2025 was organized by the Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". At the same time, spreading the spirit of sports to all schools and families, encouraging students to practice sports diligently, building a healthy lifestyle.

Accordingly, the tournament has the participation of nearly 170 athletes from 12 units in Lai Chau province. The tournament is organized in 3 age groups. Group I is from 10 years old and under, the competition for men and women includes 4 events: 60m, 500m run; on-the-spot long jump and ball throw. Group II is from 11 - 12 years old, boys compete in 4 events including: 100m, 200m, 800m run and ball throw. Girls compete in 4 events including: 100m, 200m, 400m run and ball throw. Group III is from 13 - 14 years old, boys compete in 7 events including: 100m, 200m, 400m, 1,500m run; long jump; high jump and ball throw. Women compete in 7 events including: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m; long jump; high jump and ball throw.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 75 prizes, including 25 first prizes, 25 second prizes, and 25 third prizes to athletes with high achievements.

The tournament also creates a healthy playground and develops the sports movement in schools, through training and competition, contributing to improving health and comprehensive human development in Lai Chau.
