Gia Lai opens a cultural and culinary "feast" from the blue sea to the Central Highlands

On July 31, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province announced that the People's Committee of this province has just issued a plan to organize the 2025 Festival of the Quintessence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea, scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 2 in the coastal city of Quy Nhon.

With the theme “Aspiration for the blue sea – Shining great mountains”, the festival is a cultural and tourism activity that connects the regions between the great mountains of the Central Highlands and the sea of ​​the South Central Coast. This is also an opportunity for Gia Lai to promote traditional cultural values, typical agricultural and seafood products, and promote sustainable economic and tourism development links.

The highlight of the festival is the opening ceremony taking place on the evening of August 29 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon Ward, Gia Lai Province) with the participation of about 200 central and local delegates, investors, artists, tourists...

In particular, the festival has the participation of coffee, seafood processing and exporting associations, tuna and delegates from provinces and cities with tuna exploitation and coffee growing industries in Quang Ngai, Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong provinces... The program will be broadcast live on VTV8 and digital platforms.

During the 5-day festival, visitors will experience a series of unique activities: Central Highlands Coffee and Gong Culture Festival, Food Festival "Delicious Dishes from Basalt Land and Sea" with more than 100 booths, especially dishes made from ocean tuna; The vibrant "Colors of the Sea" Street Festival with flower floats, street performances, and cultural exchanges.

Traditional art forms such as bai choi, tuong co, Binh Dinh traditional martial arts, Tay Nguyen gongs, etc. will be performed every evening at Chien Thang Square and Xuan Dieu Street (Quy Nhon Ward).

On the night of September 1, the Light Festival will conclude the series of events with an art performance combining sound, light and drone technology, recreating the beauty of the intersection between the forest and the ocean.

According to the leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, this festival is a concrete step in the strategy of developing tourism associated with agriculture, marine economy and regional linkage; at the same time, spreading the message of honoring workers - farmers who preserve coffee trees, OCOP products and fishermen who stick to the sea.
