Gasoline prices continue to fall sharply, RON95 falls below 20,000 VND/liter

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have adjusted gasoline and oil prices with a sharp decrease, effective from 3:00 p.m. on March 12.

E5 RON 92 gasoline has a new price of 19,281 VND/liter, a decrease of 680 VND/liter compared to the current price. After adjustment, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is 368 VND/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline;

Similarly, RON 95-III gasoline has a new price of VND19,649/liter, down VND753/liter.

The new price of 0.05S diesel is 17,898 VND/liter, a decrease of 435 VND/liter. Kerosene is 18,090 VND/liter, a decrease of 483 VND/liter compared to the current price; 180CST 3.5S fuel oil is adjusted to 16,995 VND/kg, a decrease of 155 VND/kg.

In this operating period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the petroleum price stabilization fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil products.

According to the joint agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance, the market gasoline The world market from March 6 to March 12 is affected by many factors with a main downward trend.

These include increased oil production from OPEC+ countries, instability in US tax policies on goods from other countries, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine despite steps to find a solution for peace ...

The above factors have caused the world oil price in recent days to have a general trend of continuing to decrease, following the downward trend of previous periods.

Of which, gasoline products all tended to decrease with 4.44 - 4.51%, and slightly decreased with kerosene at 2.92%, diesel oil decreased by 2.59% and mazut oil decreased by 0.90%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said the time for petrol traders to adjust is at 3:00 p.m. today, March 12.

Thus, the price of gasoline has continuously decreased in the last three sessions, bringing the price of RON 95 gasoline to the lowest level in more than three years. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 5 times and decreased 6 times.

The Ministry said that in order to adjust gasoline prices, it will coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of the responsibility of ensuring gasoline supply for the market by gasoline traders, and will strictly handle violations.
