This year, there is only one day off for New Year's Eve, so the number of people and vehicles participating in traffic in Hai Duong does not fluctuate much, equivalent to the weekend.
On some main roads in Hai Duong city such as Nguyen Luong Bang, Le Thanh Nghi, Dien Bien Phu... or Ho Chi Minh and Hong Quang avenues, traffic is clear and convenient.
At Hai Duong station, on January 1, 2025, there were an estimated 1,300 passengers from Hai Duong station to Hanoi, Hai Phong and vice versa, an increase of about 200 passengers compared to normal days, equivalent to weekends. Compared to New Year's Day 2024, there was a decrease of about 500 passengers.
At the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway intersection in Gia Loc district, from 6:30 to 11:30, there were about 3,000 vehicles entering and exiting the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, an increase of about 500 vehicles compared to normal days.
At Hai Duong Bus Station, some passenger bus stops are quite deserted.
Traffic on Highway 5 is lower than usual. The reason is that many transport companies let their drivers take the New Year holiday.
