Introducing a career guidance model for students with disabilities

On the afternoon of June 19, at the Huong Duong Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education (Mao Khe Ward, Dong Trieu City), the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans coordinated to organize a program to introduce a career guidance model for students with disabilities.

Vegetarian products of disabled students are guided to complete at Huong Duong Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education .

With the theme “Huong Duong Vegetarian Kitchen – Kitchen of Love”, the program aims to support disabled students in learning to cook, specifically preparing vegetarian dishes. Here, the students are directly guided and accompanied by teachers from the Center and volunteer parents in the form of “hand-holding”, helping them gradually get acquainted and master the skills of preparing dishes.

Vegetarian dishes prepared by students and parents were highly appreciated for their diversity, richness and taste. Many guests and people attending directly enjoyed and expressed their satisfaction. With positive signals from the market, the Center is ready to provide vegetarian products to individuals and organizations in need.

Leaders of the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans presented gifts to disabled students at the Huong Duong Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education.

On the occasion of the Month of Action for Children 2025, the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans awarded 5 scholarships (worth 1.1 million VND/scholarship) to disabled students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies at Huong Duong Center in the 2024-2025 school year.

This career guidance model is part of the Vocational Training and Employment Support Program for People with Disabilities, especially young people with hearing impairment, autism and intellectual disabilities. The program will be implemented from the end of 2024 according to Plan No. 168/KH-UBND dated September 14, 2020 of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province on implementing the Program to support people with disabilities in the province, period 2021 - 2030.
