Land acquisition for the North-South Expressway is being implemented with the spirit of maximum protection of the people's legitimate rights and interests.

Cam Xuyen district ( Ha Tinh ) currently has 10 households in Cam Lac commune subject to compulsory land acquisition and protection measures for the construction of the North-South expressway project.

On the afternoon of February 27, Cam Xuyen district organized a dialogue and worked with households that have not received compensation for site clearance, which is subject to compulsory land acquisition and protection measures for the construction of the North-South expressway project through Cam Lac commune.

The North-South expressway project, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section, passing through Cam Xuyen district, is 30.5 km long. Of which, the main expressway route is 27.03 km long (passing through 8 communes: Cam Thach, Cam Due, Cam Quan, Cam Hung, Cam Thinh, Cam Son, Cam Lac, Cam Minh); the connecting road from the expressway to National Highway 1 is 3.2 km long (passing through Cam Quan commune and Cam Xuyen town). In addition, in Cam Xuyen district, there is also an expressway rest stop at km 534+310 in Cam Hung commune.

Vice Chairman of Cam Xuyen District People's Committee Pham Hoang Anh reported on the progress of site clearance for the North-South expressway project through the district.

Up to this point, Cam Xuyen district has handed over the land to the investor with an area of ​​229.95 ha/230.8 ha (reaching a rate of 99.62%); 12 households have not yet received compensation for site clearance. Of which, 9 households in Cam Lac commune have not yet received compensation for residential land (area of ​​0.33 ha) and 3 households (in Cam Lac and Cam Thinh communes) have not yet received compensation for agricultural land (area of ​​0.66 ha).

Cam Xuyen district has issued a decision to enforce land recovery and protect the construction of the North-South expressway project for 10 households in Cam Lac commune (including 8 households that have not received compensation for residential land and 2 households that have not received compensation for agricultural land). The enforcement period is expected to be from March 5 to 15.

The remaining household in Cam Lac commune has not paid compensation due to inheritance division meeting procedures, and another household in Cam Thinh commune is submitting for approval to adjust land type.

After listening to people share their concerns and present recommendations related to compensation and site clearance work at the dialogue session, the local government disseminated, explained and clarified related contents.

Speaking at the dialogue, Cam Xuyen District Party Secretary Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized: The land acquisition work for the North-South Expressway project has been fully and methodically implemented by the local government in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the law, especially in the propaganda, mobilization, and explanation to the people. In particular, the land acquisition work has been implemented by the district with the spirit of maximally protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people. Although thorough propaganda has been implemented, some people do not comply, the District People's Committee will implement measures to enforce land acquisition and protect the construction of the North-South Expressway project.

Cam Xuyen District Party Secretary Nguyen Van Thanh asked households to continue to think carefully and go along with the State's major policies. At the same time, he assigned the District People's Committee and District Police to review plans and strategies to prepare for forced construction measures, ensuring that construction is carried out as soon as the forced construction is carried out.
