Ha Tinh donates more than 2.2 billion VND to support people in Türkiye and Syria

At the end of the campaign launched by the Provincial Red Cross, localities and units in Ha Tinh raised more than 2.2 billion VND to support people in Turkey and Syria to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

The terrible 7.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on the morning of February 7, 2023 in Türkiye and Syria took the lives of more than 50,000 people; thousands of buildings collapsed completely, and the infrastructure system was severely damaged. This is one of the most horrifying disasters in human history.

In addition to the enormous loss of life and property, the risk of disease and health disasters leaves tens of millions of people in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

The Red Cross of Ha Tinh province has called for donations to support the people of Türkiye and Syria in overcoming the consequences of the earthquake and rebuilding their lives.

All levels, sectors and all classes of Ha Tinh people join hands to support people in countries affected by earthquake disasters.

The support program was implemented from March 17 to May 31, 2023, and received the active response and participation of cadres, soldiers, agencies, businesses, and people from all walks of life in the province.

At the end of the campaign, the total amount of donations from localities and units across the province was more than 2.2 billion VND. This amount was compiled by the Provincial Red Cross and sent to the superior association to promptly implement activities to support the people of Türkiye and Syria.
