According to Hai Duong Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., by 4 p.m. on September 14, the unit had operated 102 pumping stations with a total of 527 pumps to drain inland fields for localities in the province. Of these, 55 pumping stations drained water to external rivers and 47 pumping stations drained water to inland rivers.

Currently, the water level of many external rivers is still high, making it difficult to pump and drain the flood. The Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. requires its member enterprises to closely monitor the water level of external rivers in the area and proactively divide the drainage zones. From there, propose appropriate pumping and drainage according to the principle of maximizing the operation of qualified pumping stations to urgently prevent inland flooding.

After storm No. 3, from September 9-13, Hai Duong area had heavy to very heavy rain with an average rainfall of 259.5 mm. Localities with heavy rainfall were Thanh Mien district (376 mm), Cam Giang (359 mm), Nam Sach (272 mm)... Meanwhile, the water level of the river outside rose, sometimes exceeding the alarm level III, causing some inland areas to be flooded and making pumping and drainage difficult.
