Hai Phong: Kien An Ward implements 10 tasks to improve education quality

Attending and directing the Conference were Mr. Tran Quang Tuan, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Phong Doanh, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; representatives of agencies, units and schools in Kien An Ward.

The 2024-2025 school year has ended with many outstanding achievements of the education and training sector of Kien An ward. The whole sector has promoted the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and mobilized resources to successfully complete the set goals.

Implementing the Central Government's policy on arranging and merging the operation of the 2-level government model, Kien An ward has 17 public schools. Of which, 11/17 schools meet National standards; 13/17 schools meet Education Quality Assessment. The scale of schools and classes is stable, the quality of education in both aspects is increasingly improved.

Collective and individual teachers are commended and rewarded.

The 2025-2026 school year is a particularly important year, the first year that the entire education sector synchronously implements many important new policies. Strictly implementing the direction of the Central Government and the city, the education and training sector of Kien An ward focuses on implementing 10 key groups of tasks.

Specifically, strengthen the leadership of Party committees and authorities and promote propaganda work, raise social awareness of educational and training innovation.

Improve the effectiveness of education and training management by researching and developing education development plans; innovate education and training management and school administration in a scientific , modern, synchronous, interconnected direction, suitable to the integration process and current practices.

Ms. Tran Thi Phuong, Vice Chairman of Kien An Ward, outlined 10 key tasks for the new school year.

Continue to innovate and improve the quality of preschool education, general education and continuing education according to general guidelines.

Develop, improve the quality and standardize the team of teachers and educational managers at all levels to ensure sufficient number of teachers according to prescribed norms.

Innovate management work, ensure material facilities and financial resources for education and training development.

Attention is paid to political education, ideology, national defense - security, physical education and school health. Promote international integration in education. Enhance foreign language skills for students; gradually build a learning environment using English as a second language. Encourage the implementation of bilingual programs, and cooperate in teaching with foreign teachers in accordance with local conditions.

Focus on digital transformation and administrative reform in education and training. Effectively carry out emulation movements in the entire education and training sector. Strengthen inspection and supervision; prevent and strictly handle negative activities in education and training.

On this occasion, Kien An ward commended and rewarded the collective, teachers and students with high achievements in the past school year.
