Accordingly, at around 3:30 p.m. on June 2, heavy rain and tornadoes occurred along Highway 55 in Ward 4 and Ward 2, Tan Nghia town, causing roofs to be blown off, scrap warehouses to collapse, and electric poles to fall...
As a result, the tornado injured 2 people, damaged 7 houses and huts with an area of 780 square meters. In addition, the tornado caused a number of electric poles to fall and damaged electric wires on Road 6, Ward 4, Tan Nghia town. Regarding agriculture , the tornado caused the fall of 25 jackfruit trees (4 years old) and 200 7-year-old acacia trees. The total damage caused by the tornado was over 835 million VND.
After the damage occurred, the People's Committee of Ham Tan district and related units quickly provided support and overcome the consequences. At the same time, they visited, encouraged and supported households whose roofs were blown off and families with injured members.
At the same time, check the actual status, specifically review damaged items, and synthesize reports to the District People's Committee according to regulations.
It is known that in addition to heavy rain and tornadoes in Ham Tan district, heavy rain on the evening of June 2 in Mang To commune (Tanh Linh) flooded 300 hectares of rice and damaged some irrigation systems. The locality is currently verifying the consequences of heavy rain.
