5:00 p.m. today, July 28, is the deadline for candidates to register and adjust their university admission wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admission System.
Order your wishes from highest to lowest
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates are allowed to register, adjust and add admission wishes an unlimited number of times from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
To register, candidates use the granted account to access and process information on the System or National Public Service Portal.
All candidates' admission wishes to training institutions must be registered by major/program and ranked from 1 to the end, in which wish 1 is the highest. Candidates need to provide all necessary data (according to the criteria, conditions, and registration process of each training institution) corresponding to the registered major/program.
The Ministry of Education and Training emphasized that all candidates' admission wishes to training institutions will be processed on the system. Each candidate will only be admitted to one highest wish among the registered wishes when ensuring the admission conditions.
Ms. Pham Thanh Ha - Deputy Head of the Training Management Department of Foreign Trade University, advised candidates to divide their wishes into three groups: Safe wish group (about 3 wishes with lower standard scores than the current score); target wish group, "within reach" (about 3 or more, suitable for the current total score); and "dream" wish group (about 3-4 wishes for majors/schools with last year's standard scores slightly higher than the candidate's score).
Ms. Ha also emphasized that candidates should not limit or choose too few wishes because the Ministry of Education and Training's system does not limit the number, the important thing is to choose suitable wishes.
In particular, candidates should list their preferences in order from highest to lowest, because the system will filter from top to bottom. The final rule is that candidates should not focus on just one school.
To complete the registration process smoothly, candidates are encouraged to carefully study the instruction documents and follow the process correctly, completely, and completely. If there is any unclear content about declaring information or paying the registration fee, candidates can contact the staff at the reception points or the admission support staff of the training institutions.
Remember the following deadlines after registering your application.
July 29 to 5:00 p.m. August 5: Candidates pay registration fees (online).
August 16-20: The Ministry of Education and Training will process candidates' admission requests across the system.
Before 5:30 p.m. on August 30: All admitted candidates (including direct admitted candidates) must complete online admission confirmation on the System (if they wish to study).
From September 1 to December 2025: Training institutions can conduct additional admissions. Candidates who are interested should follow the admission information posted on each school's information page. Note that candidates who have passed the entrance exam and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admissions, except in special cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll.
Candidates who are eligible for regional and target priority policies need to coordinate with reception points to review information (if any) to ensure their rights.
