On September 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC Federation of Labor) coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to summarize the coordination work for the 2021-2025 period and sign a joint program for the 2026-2030 period.
In the period of 2021-2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union have effectively carried out many important tasks. Especially in political and ideological education through political activities, competitions, journeys to red addresses... attracting hundreds of thousands of young workers, civil servants and laborers to participate.
Along with that, patriotic emulation movements and the "Good workers, creative workers" movement have created an environment for young workers to improve their skills, expertise, foreign languages, and promote their pioneering role in production and integration.
From the practical movement, more than 75,000 workers and laborers have been promoted to worker level and had their salaries raised; hundreds of young workers, engineers, union presidents, and outstanding youth leaders have been honored with prestigious awards such as: Nguyen Van Troi Award; Ton Duc Thang Award; July 28 Award; Outstanding Youth Workers' Leader...
In addition, the work of caring for and accompanying young workers continues to be expanded, spreading to freelance workers, unions, boarding houses, and accommodation areas with a total estimated care value of more than 2,343 billion VND. In particular, the City Labor Federation pays special attention to union members of motorbike taxi, vehicle repair, loading and unloading, private sanitation, preschool teachers, and non-public nannies with difficult circumstances...
According to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Hong An, the coordination model between the Labor Federation and the City Youth Union over the past 5 years has achieved high efficiency, contributing to building a strong political organization at the grassroots level, practically accompanying youth and workers.
In the coming period, Mr. Phan Hong An hopes that the two units will continue to promote practical support models and solutions in taking care of workers, such as: promoting the maintenance or reduction of rental prices, supporting vocational training, means of livelihood, organizing price stabilization booths, cultural and sports playgrounds after work hours... In particular, paying attention to activities that bring efficiency to youth and workers.
On this occasion, the Labor Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union signed a joint program for the period 2026 - 2030, with some key contents such as: Continuing to promote political education , law, industrial style, building strong political will for young workers in the context of Ho Chi Minh City implementing a two-level urban government. Organizing patriotic emulation movements extensively, especially the "Good worker, creative worker" movement, combined with competitions to improve professional skills, thereby creating an environment for young workers to promote their intelligence and aspirations to contribute.
Along with that, strengthen the work of caring for the material and spiritual life, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of young workers and their children.
At the conference, the City Labor Federation and the City Youth Union commended 65 collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in coordinating activities at the grassroots level.
