In 2024, the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament made a strong impression, attracting a large number of workers in many industries, and improving their professional quality thanks to thorough investment. In particular, the tournament also spread humanitarian values when it raised 2.1 billion VND to support workers affected by storm No. 3, gave 40 houses and supported 581 difficult cases.
Exciting with nearly 40 participating teams
Continuing that success, in 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper continued to coordinate to organize the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament. Entering the third year of organization, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual and prestigious playground for workers, civil servants and laborers across the country, contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports , improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.
The press conference and draw for the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament took place on the afternoon of September 16 in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the press conference, the organizing committee of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament announced details about the time, location, competition format, competition rules, and the list of participating teams nationwide. The organizing committee also drew lots to divide the groups and announced the official schedule of all matches.
The tournament is organized in the format of 7-a-side football, according to the competition rules issued by VFF; implemented according to the system of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on a national scale, gathering nearly 40 participating football teams, representing trade unions of provinces/cities, industry trade unions and enterprises across the country.
According to the regulations of the organizing committee, the subjects participating in the competition are male workers, civil servants, and laborers of Vietnamese nationality, working in agencies, units, and enterprises of all economic sectors with trade unions; having labor contracts and participating in social insurance and health insurance continuously for 1 year or more up to the time of registration for the competition; having a smartphone with the VssID application of Vietnam Social Security installed and having a personal identification account on the VneID application of the Ministry of Public Security .
The tournament is organized in the format of 7-a-side football, according to the competition rules issued by VFF.

The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament will go through two stages, including the qualifying round held from September to October 2025 in the northern region (Hanoi) and the southern region (Ho Chi Minh City). The 16 best teams in the qualifying round will qualify for the national final round, taking place in October in Ho Chi Minh City.
The total prize of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is up to 900 million VND. Of which, the national final champion team will receive 200 million VND.
