1. Capital education continues to develop

In 2024, Hanoi city will be the locality with the largest educational scale in the country with a total of 2,913 kindergartens and general schools at all levels, 2.3 million students, nearly 128,000 teachers; 1 school for training educational staff; 29 vocational education and continuing education centers.

2. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Capital Education and Training sector

In 2024, the Department of Education and Training will organize a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Capital's education and training sector (1954-2024) with a number of programs: "Capital Student March"; "Song Composition for Students" Contest; Hanoi City High School Student Choir Festival 2024; The 8th "Dedicated and Creative Hanoi Teachers" Award, 2024 at the city level; "Teachers in My Eyes" Contest 2024...

In 2024, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will complete the 10th grade entrance exam, high school graduation exam, and admission to kindergartens, grades 1 and 6, creating convenience for people, parents and students, overcoming the limitations and shortcomings in the examination and admission work of previous years such as: No more queuing to submit application documents or drawing lots to enter public schools; no more errors such as "blurry exam questions"...

The city's general high school graduation rate reached 99.81%, an increase of 0.25% and an increase of 5 ranks compared to 2023 (from 16th to 11th place).

Hanoi is the locality with the most 10 points in the high school graduation exam in the country with 915 points.

Of the 200 candidates with the highest total high school graduation exam scores, Hanoi city has 33 candidates, in particular, 1 candidate has the highest total high school graduation exam score in the country: 57.85 points.

The whole city has 194/269 schools with a high school graduation rate of 100%, an increase of 54% compared to 2023.

4. The capital's key education ranks first in the country in national and international competitions for excellent students.

In 2024, Hanoi students ranked first in the country with 184 students winning prizes in national excellent student competitions, higher than in 2023.

Notably, Hanoi students won 2 Olympic Gold Medals in Biology and Chemistry, 5 medals in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad IOAA in Brazil; 6 medals in the International Junior Science Olympiad - IJSO 2024; 24 medals in the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad IMSO 2024 in China...

5. Leading the country in the implementation results of digital report cards at primary school level

Hanoi is the leading unit in the country in implementing digital transcripts at the primary level, with 97.64% of students from grades 1 to 4 successfully creating digital transcripts (the national average is 41%).

6. There are 56 teachers who were awarded the titles "People's Teacher" and "Excellent Teacher" by the President.
