Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association organizes "Spring of Love", giving Tet gifts to people in the highlands

In the last days of the year, when Tet is approaching, it is also the time when Tet gift bags, warm blankets, meaningful scholarships are given by the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association in collaboration with Tam Binh Pharmaceutical Company and accompanying units to the people of Mo De commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai .

On December 27-28, 2024, the Hanoi Association of Women Entrepreneurs (HNEW) coordinated with Tam Binh Pharmaceutical Company, the Center for Women and Development, the Military Command and the Red Cross of Yen Bai province, and Phu Bac Company to organize the program "Spring of Love" in Mo De commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai. This is a particularly difficult commune, with the people mainly being Mong ethnic people, more than half of the households being poor and near-poor, and their lives still lacking.

With a total budget of 400 million VND, the program "Spring of Love" organized a series of meaningful activities, helping people in Mo De commune to have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet.

At the program, 600 households received practical Tet gifts including 300 warm blankets and 300 gift bags of necessities (rice, sugar, cakes, cooking oil, MSG). 47 special Tet gifts including gifts and cash were given to families in difficult circumstances.

Giving special Tet gifts to poor households

In addition, the program organized "Free Charity Market" with many essential household items such as pots, pans, trays, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, etc. 170 free shopping vouchers were given to poor families so that they could choose necessary household items without worrying about the cost.

People can buy goods for free at the "zero-dong humanitarian market"

Carrying a baby on her back, a blanket in one hand and a bag full of items bought from the “zero-dong charity market” in the other, Ms. Mua Thi Di (Cung 11 village, Mo De commune) could not hide her happy smile. The Mong woman happily shared: “Thanks to the program, my family this year has warm blankets and many necessary items to celebrate Tet. Thank you for the care and kindness of the benefactors.”

The "Spring of Love" program also gave 40 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, gave 654 warm clothes to students of Mo De Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, gave hot water dispensers, books and many gifts to the school.

Due to difficult living conditions, people here have little access to medical services. Therefore, the program organized free medical examinations and medicine distribution for 600 people in the commune, helping to solve urgent health problems, bringing peace of mind to people before the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Mr. Giang A Chinh, Vice Chairman of Mo De Commune, shared: The activities in the program "Spring of Love" are all very practical. Tet gift bags, warm blankets, household items, and medicines have contributed to improving the difficulties and shortages of the people, helping them celebrate Tet in joy and hope. The authorities and people of the commune highly appreciate the sharing and valuable help from the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association, Tam Binh Pharmaceutical Company and the accompanying units that organized this meaningful program.

HNEW is a professional social organization with 250 members who are female leaders of enterprises in different fields and industries in Hanoi. Not only promoting a positive role on the economic front, HNEW also carries out many meaningful volunteer activities for the community such as: building warm houses for women in difficult circumstances, supporting the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting people affected by storms and floods, giving Tet gifts to the poor, etc.

Therefore, the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association has decided to organize the program "Spring of Love" here. We hope that the program will help people to reduce their difficulties and have a warmer and more prosperous Tet. We also hope that through this program, people will feel the care and support from the community and have more motivation to improve their lives."
