Evaluating the semi-final opponents, coach Kim Sang-sik affirmed: "No matter who we face, we will prepare carefully to aim for victory. The Philippines is the away team, which will be different from facing the host Indonesia.

In addition, coach Kim Sang-sik was also pleased when U23 Vietnam continued to be effective in set pieces: "We have scored 3 goals from set pieces thanks to the central defenders. Hopefully they will continue to score in the semi-finals. Of course, I also hope that other players can shine more."

Previously, in the final match of Group B, U23 Vietnam won 2-1 against U23 Cambodia to take the lead and enter the semi-finals.

U23 Vietnam will meet U23 Philippines in the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, the match will take place at 4:00 p.m. on July 25 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
