Support 140 billion VND for Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh provinces to overcome flood consequences

On October 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to provide emergency financial support to Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh provinces to overcome the consequences of floods.

Specifically, the Prime Minister decided to support 140 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 for 4 localities to promptly provide relief, support people and initially overcome the consequences of floods. Of which, Thai Nguyen 50 billion VND, Cao Bang 30 billion VND, Lang Son 30 billion VND and Bac Ninh 30 billion VND.

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh provinces to be responsible for managing and using the above-mentioned additional funds, ensuring compliance with regulations, correct purposes, correct subjects, publicity, transparency, avoiding loss and negativity; report the results of use to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and relevant agencies for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.

Previously, on October 2, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 2171/QD-TTg to support 2,524 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 for 15 localities to support people's lives, repair dikes, irrigation reservoirs, natural disaster prevention works, essential infrastructure, and stabilize residents in urgent disaster areas affected by storm No. 10 and other natural disasters from the beginning of 2025.
